Who looks after your details

BZ Demo Salon is responsible for the details you give when you book (in data protection terms, the controller). To ask anything about your data, contact the salon.

What is collected when you book

Your name and mobile number, to hold your appointment and reach you about it.
Your email address, if you give one, for your confirmation.
Anything you write in the booking note.
Your appointments with the salon: the services, times and prices, and whether you attended.
If the salon takes a deposit, your card is handled by Stripe, the payment provider. The salon never sees your full card number.

Why, and on what basis

To take and run the appointment you asked for, including your confirmation and reminders. The salon needs this to provide the booking.
To send you offers and news by email or text, only if you ticked the box for that channel when you booked. You can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link in any offer email, or by asking the salon.
To keep the records the law requires of a business, such as its accounts.

Who else handles them

The booking system is run by BeautyZilla, which stores your details for the salon and uses them only on the salon's instructions (in data protection terms, a processor). Payments are handled by Stripe.

How long they are kept

For as long as you are a client of the salon, and afterwards only for as long as the salon needs them for its legal and accounting records.

Your rights

You can ask the salon for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them, or to stop using them for offers.

If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
